Joanna Vander Vlugt is an author and illustrator. Many find it hard to believe that as a child she hated to read. It wasn't until she read Enid Blyton's adventure series, The Famous Five, that Joanna's world changed overnight.
As a teenager, she drew charcoal portraits and wrote mysteries. Now, she uses Copic markers to illustrate motorcycles and graphic novels. Joanna’s short mysteries have been published in a variety of mystery anthologies, and her motorcycle illustrations have been purchased worldwide.

Joanna draws upon her 13 years’ experience working in the prosecutor’s office and 10 years working in the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner for inspiration for her thriller novels. When it comes time to relax, Joanna enjoys playing the piano.
